New Variant form resets on duplicate parameter error

When attempting to create a new variant, if duplicate parameters are entered, the form closes and resets upon error. This results in the loss of all previously entered data, requiring the user to re-enter all fields from scratch instead of simply correcting the duplicate parameters.

What is happening or what is needed
When creating a new variant with duplicate parameters, the form closes/resets on error instead of staying open. This forces the user to re-enter all fields from scratch instead of just correcting the duplicate.
Walk us through it step by step
Go to My Apps Select an app. Open App Settings. Click "New Variant." Enter parameters that duplicate an existing variant. Submit — an error occurs and the form closes/resets. Notice all previously entered fields are lost, requiring a full restart.
